  • Two Controller Units To Choose From To Suit Your Performance Needs

    Flexible RPM Input Compatible With High Voltage Coil Drive

    Completely Built-In Data Logging - Ideal As A Basic Vehicle Data Logger/Recorder.

  • Daytona SensorsNC-1 and NC-2Nitrous Controller units have identical features and capabilities except that the NC-2can directly drive two nitrous stages with progressive control (modulated flow). The NC-1requires external relays and is limited to on/off control.  The NC-1is recommended for applications under 100 horsepower.

  • A progressive controller, such as the NC-2, pulse width modulates the solenoid valves and allows you to control the flow rate. The two primary applications for a progressive controller are matching nitrous system power output to vehicle requirements and independently controlling fuel and nitrous oxide flows for optimum air/fuel ratio (AFR). The NC-2can be used for both applications.

  • If you have a high horsepower nitrous system in a vehicle with limited traction, you can use time or RPM based progressive control to reduce the power output in the mid-RPM range or off the starting line to eliminate problems with wheel spin. You can also use RPM based progressive control to reduce excessive strain on the engine in the mid-RPM range.

  • By independently modulating the fuel and nitrous solenoids, you can control the AFR. This is especially useful for late model fuel injected vehicles.

  • Drives two nitrous stages and purge solenoid. NC-2is capable of 40 amp output on each stage. Each stage is independently programmable based on throttle position, RPM, vehicle speed, time delay, and first gear lockout. NC-2adds capability for RPM or time based progressive control.  Output for purge solenoid (requires external relay) and programmable automatic purge when system is armed.

  • Flexible RPM input compatible with high voltage coil drive (vehicles with coil packs or distributor ignition), standard 12 volt tach signal, or low level logic drive (newer vehicles with coil-on plug).
    General purpose input/output (GPIO) terminal.  Programmable for use as shift light output, additional stage enable input, or control output for ignition retard.

  • Status LED output (ideal for use with arming switch containing LED).  Built-in data logging. Ideal as basic vehicle data logger during dyno tuning or drag racing. Logs data whenever system is armed. Stores last 5 minutes of data at 10 samples/second.  Data logged includes throttle position, RPM, vehicle speed, status of all inputs and outputs, and two 0-5 volt analog inputs.

    Gasoline (Stoichiometric Ratio 14.69)

    AFR = 2 x (Vout + 5)

    Vout = (0.5 x AFR) - 5

    0V = 10 AFR  and 5V = 20 AFR

    Ethanol (Stoichiometric Ratio 9.01)

    AFR = 1.227 x (Vout + 5)

    Vout = (0.815 x AFR) - 5

    0V = 6.14 AFR  and 5V = 12.27 AFR

    E85 (Stoichiometric Ratio 9.77)

    AFR = 1.33 x (Vout + 5)

    Vout = (0.752 x AFR)  - 5

    0V = 6.65 AFR  and 5V = 13.3 AFR

    Methanol (Stoichiometric Ratio 6.47)

    AFR = 0.881 x (Vout + 5)

    Vout = (1.135 x AFR) - 5

    0V = 4.4 AFR  and 5V = 8.8 AFR

    Can I use the WEGO with other fuels besides gasoline?

    Tech Note: After 2015 units will calibrate to any fuel with a simple function of the setup software

    Yes, the WEGO system will work with most hydrocarbon fuels including ethanol, E85, and methanol. Special WEGO III units are available with the display calibrated for methanol fuel. WEGO data logging software now supports multiple fuel types including user defined fuels and allows proper chart display of AFR values for all WEGO models with internal data logging. All WEGO units have a 0-5V output that can be interfaced to data acquisition or dyno systems. The scaling is the same for all WEGO models. Scale factors are listed below for common fuels (Vout is the WEGO output voltage):

    Pump gasoline is now often E10 fuel or other ethanol blends with up to 10% ethanol. This can be treated the same as standard gasoline. While the actual Stoichiometric ratio is slightly lower and varies with seasonal blends, you can tune using common gasoline AFR target values such as 12.8 AFR at wide open throttle. The WEGO will always display 14.7 AFR at the actual Stoichiometric point for the fuel, regardless of ethanol concentration.

    The WEGO sensor is a lambda sensor, where lambda is the technical term for a dimensionless fuel/air ratio. Lambda 1.00 is the Stoichiometric point (where there is sufficient oxygen to react with all the available fuel) for any fuel. The output of the WEGO at lambda =1.00 is 2.345V for any hydrocarbon fuel. The output of the WEGO in terms of lambda is:

    lambda = 0.1361 x (Vout + 5)

    Vout = (7.345 x lambda) - 5

    0V = 0.681 lambda and 5V = 1.361 lambda

    For other fuels not listed above, you can use the universal formulas given below if you know the Stoichiometric air/fuel ratio (AFR_Stoich):

    AFR = AFR_Stoich x (Vout + 5)/7.345

    Vout = (7.345 x AFR/AFR_Stoich) - 5

    0V = 0.681 x AFR_Stoich   and 5V = 1.361 x AFR_Stoich
