6061-O Aluminum vs. 6061-T6 Aluminum
Both
6061-O aluminum and 6061-T6 aluminum are variants of the same material.
They share alloy composition and many physical properties, but develop
different mechanical properties as a result of different processing.
For each property being compared, the top number is 6061-O aluminum and the bottom
number is 6061-T6 aluminum.

When companies boast about using 6061 Aluminum
there's a probability that they may NOT be using the top quality T6 grade, if
they were they would more than likely state it.
FBO Billet distributors are all manufactured using 6061-T6
high quality Aluminum
Our Limiter bushing are made from a proprietary
composition of an even higher grade of aluminum usually found in the
manufacturing of high quality precision commercial aircraft components.
